EASY Road Transport chooses Transpas Enterprise
EASY Road Transport has selected the Transpas Enterprise transport management system from Art Systems. Since its restart in 2021, EASY Road Transport has grown rapidly, partly due to BREXIT. While many parties struggled with the changes in transport conditions, EASY Road managed to capitalize on this by continuously staying ahead of these developments. EASY Road focuses on service and quality. “We want to distinguish ourselves through service and quality. With Transpas, we have been able to automate many back-end processes, allowing our EASY Roaders to spend as much time as possible helping our customers and maintaining the personal contact that this involves. Even now, as we are growing so quickly,” says Thomas Hilbrands, Director of EASY Road Transport.
In 2021, the company went from 14 to 40 trailers, and the UK carrier currently operates more than 80 trailers. While planners could easily manage the scheduling for 14 trailers using the well-known Excel sheets, the rapid growth necessitated a new system. “At first, we quite stubbornly tried to build a TMS (Transport Management System) ourselves in Google Cloud, but building such a system turned out to be a bit too complex to do on the side,” Thomas admits honestly. “That is why we have now consciously chosen Transpas, a partner with years of experience and a proven track record.”
The choice for Transpas Enterprise was quickly made for EASY Road Transport; there had been contact with Willie Bruining (Art Systems) for some time, and after the demo, the decision was finalized and the agreement signed. “Willie gave a clear demo and explained everything without any frills, which was greatly appreciated here. Furthermore, Transpas Enterprise offers us everything we need and even has options for further expansion in the future,” says Thomas.
EASY Road has now fully transitioned to Transpas and is working on the final details to complete the implementation. Regarding the implementation, Willie states: “It was surprising for us to see how quickly the young team at EASY implemented our system and made it their own.” Thomas immediately sees the benefits of the new system: “By correctly configuring all variables, we can see the costs and revenues per trip immediately when creating the schedule, allowing our EASY Roaders to act quickly. Transpas saves us a lot of manual work. This allows us to plan the more than 80 trailers we ship daily between the UK and the Netherlands quickly and efficiently.”
EASY Road Transport aims to become the best UK carrier in the Netherlands. Not the largest or the cheapest, but with a very clear focus on quality and service. With the implementation of Transpas Enterprise, the EASY Roaders have taken a major step toward realizing further growth and this ambition.
